Fortunato Patti - Registration Card - World War One - September 12, 1918

The text below was written by Joseph Patti, son of Antonio Patti:

Fortunato Patti was an older brother to Antonio Patti. Fortunato died of a crushed pelvis in November 1936 as a result of a mine accident suffered in October 1936. I have a copy of his death certificate. Recently I was able to discern the name and location of the cemetery where he was buried. I wanted to find out if there is a plot plan and if his grave is marked - but have not moved too fast.

Fortunato moved around, as I remember dad said, he was in Canada at one time. I found one USA entry in 1905 coming into the State of Washington by land and another entry coming into New York in 1911 by ship - the year after dad came to the USA.

Dad also had a brother, Giuseppe, who was in the USA from about 1920 to 1932.

All of dad's siblings were half brothers and sisters. Both of his parents had prior marriages that ended in death. Both wives of dad's father had the same last name. Whether they were sisters or related I do not know. His mother had 2 daughters by her first marriage and his father had about 4 children by his first marriage.
